Resin and Sea Glass Jewelry
My husband and I collected lots of sea glass on the beach in the Bahamas several years ago. The dilemma has been what to do with it to make jewelry. I thought of combining it with seashells some how. Then I thought of suspending the sea glass from pendants of different media. Finally, I decided on combining seashells with resin to make pendants. So, I took a resin class and purchased a book, which I've read cover to cover more than once. I finally got the nerve to try the resin on my own. At last, I'm producing finished pieces that I am pleased with. Earrings and pendants are now appearing on my Etsy shop this week. I'll share them here as well.

St. Martin Beads-- Mystery Solved
My husband and I took another vacation to St. Martin late October. We finally solved the mystery about the St. Martin beads that I wrote about in my first post on the blog, February 6. We purchased the beads at the open air market in Marigot, on the French side of St. Martin.
These beads are made from water snake. The beads have been treated to preserve the skin.
The remainder of the beads came to St. Martin from French Guyana. They are made of woods native to French Guyana.
